New courses at MC Academy

MC Academy is proud to announce we are expanding our course portfolio to provide students with more ways to prepare for their studies in higher education in the UK.

We are proud to announce that MC Academy has partnered with Trinity College London and LanguageCert to offer four new exam preparation courses.

Our newest courses include:
GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English)
ISE (Integrated Skills in English)
International ESOL
SELT (Secure English Language Test)

GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English)

The GESE Exam Preparation course at MC Academy aims to:

• Provide students with the skills and confidence to communicate confidently and effectively.
• Provide students with regular feedback based on their listening and speaking skills.
• Provide students with the option to personalise their course by choosing to study topics that are most beneficial for them/their future aspirations.
• Prepare students to communicate effectively in English in a work-based environment.

ISE (Integrated Skills in English)

The ISE exam preparation course at MC Academy aims to:

• Provide students with the skills and confidence to communicate confidently and effectively.
• Provide students with regular feedback based on their listening and speaking skills.
• Provide students with the option to personalise their course by choosing to study topics that are most beneficial for them/their future aspirations.
• Prepare students to communicate effectively in English in a work-based environment.
• Provide students with real-life communication skills that can be used for higher education and future employment.

International ESOL

The International ESOL Exam Preparation course at MC Academy is intended for non-native English speakers who need to provide documented evidence of their English language level for study, employment or leisure purposes.

What are the benefits of studying this course?

• Unlike the IELTS exam, the International ESOL exam is a level-specific exam, meaning that the exam will be tailored towards a student’s level.
• The exam covers all four key language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
• The exam can be taken online or in person at MC Academy.
• The speaking part of the exam is more conversational as opposed to a direct assessment of spoken language ability.
• The International ESOL exam is recognised by 80% of universities globally as proof of English language level.

SELT (Secure English Language Test)
The Secure English Language Test (SELT) is a Home Office approved English language test that focuses on all four areas of language development. The Exam is designed at the appropriate level for meeting minimum UKVI requirements by visa type.

• The exam covers either two or four key language skills depending on visa requirements.
