International ESOL
The International ESOL Exam Preparation course at MC Academy is intended for non-native English speakers who need to provide documented evidence of their English language level for study, employment or leisure purposes.
Unlike the IELTS exam, the International ESOL exam is a level-specific exam, meaning that the exam will be tailored towards a student’s level.
The exam covers all four key language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
The exam can be taken online or in person at MC Academy.
The speaking part of the exam is more conversational as opposed to a direct assessment of spoken language ability.
The International ESOL exam is recognised by 80% of universities globally as proof of English language level.
SELT
The Secure English Language Test (SELT) is a Home Office approved English language test that focuses on all four areas of language development. The Exam is designed at the appropriate level for meeting minimum UKVI requirements by visa type.

The SELT exam is recognised by more than 90% of UK universities as a requirement for English language level.
LTE
The LTE A1-C2 Listening & Reading computer-adaptive test takes about 60 minutes. It changes based on how well you know English, adjusting the difficulty of questions as you answer them. This helps measure your language skills accurately, no matter your level. Each test is personalized to match your ability. LTE is useful for those who:
a. Want an internationally recognized certificate of their English skills
b. Want to show their English level to current or potential employers
c. Employers wanting to know the English levels of their employees.

Can the teachers support me with my exams?
You can ask your teachers for advice about when to take your test and try to book it as early as possible. Test centres can become fully booked, specifically in June and July, so leaving it to the last minute may mean that you have to travel to another city or even take it in your home country. There are over 4000 test centres and locations in over 140 countries where you can take the IELTS exam.

The time the course is on, is dependant on the amount of hours you do and what level of English you have!
How long should I study this course?
This course is very much dependant on your level of English, so if you think you have a lower level of English that we advise our students to study between 16 and 24+ weeks.
